High youth umemployment rates are of concern amongst young Bhutanese. Although the majority are highly educated, a lack of employment in their area of qualification has led to young people finding alternative forms of employment. With the government now allowing private enterprise such as cash cropping, a whole new industry has opened up and given opportunties to young people that were previously unavailable.
